Earlier today, Chipola Area Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Carmen D. Smith had the opportunity to speak at the Housing Rally at the Capitol. This event, hosted by State Rep. Dianne Hart, State Rep. Susan Valdes, and State Rep. Anika Omphroy, brought together organizations from across the state to address Florida’s current affordable housing crisis. Director Smith encouraged lawmakers to continue their support of the Sadowski fund and to partner with non-profits such as Habitat for Humanity as a long-term strategy for increasing equitable access to stable housing. #affordablehousing#advocacy#buildinghome
