Women Build 2026 Day 1

Day 1 of Women Build 2026 was in Chipley, FL. Over 25 volunteers showed up early, raised the hammers, and made the sawdust fly. With little regard for a forecast of rain, they raised the walls of a house in under 3 hours. There was fun, laughter, a desire to learn, and make a difference.

This house is Lot 6 of Chipola Area Habitat’s Chipley Heights subdivision, and partners with a single-mom household to buy a home she can afford.

Chipley Heights is a partnership with the City of Chipley to build 9 homes on a city block.
