• Every Habitat Home is a Hand Up, Not a Hand Out

There is joy in this house

Virtually nowhere in the U.S. can a full-time minimum-wage employee afford a one-bedroom apartment.

Affordable housing is a serious problem that affects many of our neighbors across our local communities. These burdens leave households with little income to afford the cost of food, health care and other basic necessities.

Habitat for Humanity’s Homeownership Program puts families on a new path — one where stability and self-reliance are actually obtainable. Habitat homeowners receive financial education, help build their houses and pay an affordable mortgage.

Through shelter, we empower.

In accordance with the Fair Housing Act, Chipola Area Habitat for Humanity does not discriminate against any person in the sale, rental, advertising or financing of housing on the basis of race, sex, color, age, handicap, religion, family status, national origin, source of income, or exercise of rights under the Consumer Credit Protection Act.
