Homeowner Spotlight: Tiffany Richardson

After her rental home was destroyed by Hurricane Michael in October 2018, single mom and Chipola Area Habitat for Humanity homeowner partner Tiffany Richardson was forced to move into a small travel trailer with her four children Kaylee (10, not pictured), Rynen (6), Kyndall (3), and Kynedi (9 months). During a thunderstorm in 2019, shortly after her acceptance into the Habitat housing program, the travel trailer sustained damage, which caused the growth of mold and required a portion of the structure to be closed off, leaving the family with even less space.

Tiffany, who works for the Jackson County Health Department, was also diagnosed with cancer in 2020. Her partnership with Habitat for Humanity will not only provide her family with affordable shelter but will also give her peace of mind and a safe place to recover as she undergoes treatment.
